Right from the first publication of walk book in 1974 the KFPG has undertaken to have all the walks in the book open, walkable and clearly waymarked. This applies to the current edition 'Kenilworth and Beyond'.
As there is a small difference in the paths used in each edition the question arises as to the maintenance of paths that were once in the book but not currently.
Our policy on this is to continue to maintain all Kenilworth paths irrespective of whether they in the book or not. Other paths are looked at on a case by case basis.
| Currently the following non-Kenilworth paths were in the 4th edition but are not in the current one and our intention on each is as follows. |
| W168 Rouncil Lane to Firs Lane. Continue to maintain. |
| W219 and W202. These are paths from Glasshouse Lane to the B 4115. W219 (Rocky Lane) has no problems. W202 can be overgrown along by the sports ground. We will keep an eye on it but is low priority. |
| We will no longer maintain the following paths: |
| M184 Little Beanitt Farm. |
| M183 From the Kenilworth Rd to Hobb Lane through Moat Farm. M184 (part) This is the part that goes from the old Gambles Garage. to join up with a section of the path that is in the current edition. |
