As things can change in the countryside quite quickly we have a policy of updating Kenilworth and Beyond between editions. Major corrections will be listed here on our web site as they occur.

The table below summarises known changes and a link to page(s) giving further details where necessary - more will be added as required.

Hatton (Walk E)

Ball's Bridge (No 57) point 2 on the map, has now been replaced  (click here see photo) so that the whole of the round walk is once more accessible.
One point to note is that for the time being the walk is no longer stile free as there is a stile at the end of the bridge.  We hope to replace this with a gap or gate but in the meantime the stile can be avoided by continuing to use Hatton Glebe Bridge.

F

Haseley

A temporary closure order has been placed on path W67 (Shrewley Pools) from May to October 2008 to facilitate Severn Trent operations.
To be on the safe side it is suggested that at point 5 instead of crossing to Shaws Lane that you turn left along the A4177 to point 8.
There is a footpath all the way.

J

Rowington, Shrewley & Mousley End

There has been an official diversion to path W42 that affects our Short Cut on Walk J.

The description on page 26 should now read as follows. 'Take the steps up to the Castle Meadow Bridge and cross over.

Continue along the broad track for a quarter of a mile to a junction. Continue in the same direction over a stile into the garden of High House.

Turn right and follow the path out to a field. Turn left with the garden on your left to the field corner. Turn left at the top, to the house drive.

Cross straight over to a stile and pick up the main description from Point 14.

P

Meer End

Improvements have now been made on the first stretch of the path from the Tipperary Inn (point 7).

The first stile has been removed altogether and the fourth stile replaced by a kissing gate,

N and R

Goodrest Farm, Rouncil Lane, Kenilworth

The line of the bridlepath has been changed at point 3. It now cuts off the corner of the field to a point opposite Goodrest Farm Road.

The change brings the path back to the official line on the definitive map.

M

Kenilworth & Beausale
This whole of this walk including the short cut is now stile free

S

Rowington, Shrewley, Haseley & Mousley End

Paragraph one. Please note that the two wooden gates have been replaced with new metal bridle gates and this

section of the route has been re-waymarked with painted posts and arrows.

A temporary closure order has been placed on path W68 from May to October 2008 to facilitate Severn Trent operations.

This may not be in operation all the time but if you find it closed the alternative is to turn north along the A4177  to Shaws Lane on the left.

There is a pavement all the way. Go to the top of Shaws Lane and turn left to Northleigh Guest House (point 12) on the right.

Other routes, not in book

Woodloes,

Warwick (near A46)

The diversion of WB3 has now been confirmed.  Where the existing path from Middle Woodloes reaches the A46 instead of crossing over the road at that point it now turns right along the hedge line until it reaches the underpass. (see map).
